There is the possibility that you will end up in the same house, however, if your appeal is denied you will just end up in the same house. The appeal judges ask you personal questions and we ask that you think very critically about HP and in some ways your own personality. For many, it can be a very revealing process that really helps them figure out where they fit. :)

So to sum up and answer your question, the judges will consider every house, including your original one, to try to determine where you fit best. You may end up back in your original house if you show us that it's where you belong!
