Re-sort me please :)
Name:Lolani
Age: 18
House you were sorted into: Hufflepuff
Link to original application: Ta-da
Are there any questions you would like to elaborate on? Yes. Lots.
First of all I wanted to expand upon my favorite character question. My favorite is still Narcissa however I have written quite a bit on her for a few other applications and I think my first answer is lacking in any substance.
My favorite character is Narcissa Malfoy. She is like the blonde, wealthy, evil and messed up version of me. I share her tendency to be a little vain, I love my family, and I have a one-track mind.
But back to Narcissa, she is a character who is morally amiss while still being capable of having a genuine care for her family. She dares to be multi-dimensional and dynamic. I love that she is perfectly capable of being truly and unapologetically “bad” while still having a strand of good in her.
Narcissa and Lucius do not share the true and undying loyalty that Bellatrix has for Voldemort. Their allegiance is based on greed, circumstances and the conveniences at the time, Narcissa proves this in her disregard for Voldemort’s orders and when she goes to Snape and even more dramatically (and blatantly told to us) in DH when she lies right to Voldemort’s face.
She is a far cry from being heartless and cold, instead she is quite emotional which is not surprising considering her taste for the dramatic just like the rest of her family, openly threatening the Harry, Ron and Hermione in Madam Malkin’s.
Not disregarding the fact that she is a “bad guy”, she obviously cares for her husband and is a doting mother. She is a creature of comfort, and appreciates the pleasure of having excess, such as sending Draco boxes of sweets even when she knows he’s feasting to his heart’s content at Hogwarts.
So there you have a woman who is capable of being loving and dare I say tender, is intelligent - a little naïve perhaps but none-the-less intelligent, and even risks her life to save her son but is fatally and shamelessly flawed by self interest, faulty ideology impressed from childhood and arrogance.
She is quite happy in her little family unit and she will keep on doing what makes her happy, ethical or not.
She is powerful, wealthy, attractive, and dangerous, Come on, what’s not to love? Oh yeah the bigotry.
----------------------------------
I’m going to expand on my million dollar question as well. I’m going to say that yes it’s true that a million bucks really wouldn’t set me up for life so I’d use it in the best ways I know how. Traveling wherever and whenever, buying high fashion and looking great, going to art school and not having to work my way through it, a great car and living nice and comfy. Of course I would be smart and save a bit, and I’d buy my family nice presents. But mainly I’d be in style with my million dollars.
-----------------------------------
Okay I also want to elaborate on my boggart question, as I didn’t include enough. Originally it was the same as Molly's, my family dead. However it would probably be a bit closer to everything and anyone I love dead, my family, my friends, my dreams. So my boggart would take the shape of just me, old and with nothing and no one to my name. No successful life, no family and a bleak future.
My riddikulus would change to be my self lying on a top of a mound of gold in a shiny lame' dress, decked out in diamonds the size of small fruits like some horribly done hip hop music video (sort of what I would look like if I really did have the million dollars ;) ).
-----------------------------------
Next I want to fix the “what I look for in a friend”. My original answer was too vague. I am nice to pretty much everyone so yes in a way I am everyone’s “friend” and I don’t look for specific traits at that stage. However it actually takes a while for me to become someone’s true friend or close friend.
And there I’ve found that a lot my close friends share one similar trait, self-confidence. People who are self-assured generally are more entertaining; they are more willing to laugh at themselves instead of putting themselves down for their mistakes. That is where the “I value a sense of humor” comes in, plus being easy going with yourself puts me at ease too. I also said that I value honesty in friends, and that again stems from self-confidence. Someone who isn’t afraid of how you are going to judge them is more likely to be more upfront and frank with you. It’s pretty hard to offend me, tell me what you really think and I’ll tell you back. Simply put I respect self-respect.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
What trait most annoys you about other people?
People who create drama. So overreacting, intolerance, and ignorance. True. But not detailed enough. I cannot respect people who are:
Bullies- I’m not saying that you have to always be a saint or that bending the rules is always a bad thing when it comes to getting what you want however I am saying that I hate when people realize that they are sub-par so instead of pushing themselves up they try to drag people down to their level, people who are happy with being that type of a loser instead of being a true winner is one of the ultimate displays of a lack of self-respect and as I already mentioned that is really important to me.
People who play the victim - If you don’t like your life change it, and crying about it to me and throwing yourself a big pity party isn’t the way to do it. One of my favorite quotes is by George Bernard Shaw… “Life isn’t about finding yourself it is about creating yourself.”
Ignorance- Not innocence, but pig headed ignorance. I’m sorry if this sounds harsh but I don’t have patience for morons.
-------------------------------------------
I wanted to talk a little more about my good/bad traits. I agree with pretty much all of the good ones still, and the strongest is my irrepressible sense of humor, I don’t take myself too seriously and god help if you do. I see the humorous side to most things in life.
I also would say that being a driven person is also a pretty big deal to me, I am pretty confident about myself and the talent I am working hard to develop.
I am also a strange sort of optimist, whenever I go to the store I always overestimate how much everything will cost so when I go to pay for it I am always pleasantly “surprised” that I spent way less than expected. Some say that I am a pessimist but I prefer to be a realistic optimist, thank you. :)
For the bad traits, I would take trust issues and replace it with “too protective of privacy”. I hide whatever I’m working on until I feel like it is finished. For example when I’m drawing in public I do this little snape-esque huddle over my drawings so no one can sneak a peek. I like to keep certain things about my life private, I’ll share if and when I am ready.
I would also take out "Touchy" and slide in "Pretentious". Touchy wasn't the best word choice. I don't always trust people and tend to assume the worst and or/ underestimate about them, which is really a more pretentious thing to do then a touchy thing. I am not proud that I do this, but it's there.
What would you see in the Mirror of Erised? Originally I wouldn’t say because I was afraid of looking like a shallow asshat. I am desperately afraid of being old, so I would see me young and pretty and rich many years from now. I'm not asking for immortality just eternal youth with happiness and success thrown in. I am absolutely dreading the day I wake up a see an old wrinkled, weathered, and tired face. Or when my heart still wants to be young and pretty and dancing but my body disagrees. I never want to feel the jealousy when I watch young people doing the things I can only do in memory. I love to dress up and feel pretty and I don’t want that to change.
Pick one or two canon qualities from each of the four houses that you possess and explain why you picked them:
Gryffindor- I am proud sort of person, I take pride in what I do and strive to be the best. Gryffindors seem to be competitive such as Ron feeling overshadowed by Harry’s superstar moments, and Hermione getting upset in HBP because Harry is better at a subject than she is. I can relate to those emotions quite well.
Ravenclaw- I am very curious; when I find a subject that I’m passionate about I explore it fully. I know I can have tunnel vision sometimes so I make myself slow down so I don’t burn out. I enjoy moments where I let my guard down and just let life and curiosity lead a little bit.
Hufflepuff- I have the Hufflepuff determination and focus. I want what’s best for me, and I know I won’t stop till I have it. Although the “what’s best for me” may not be a puff way of thinking at least the “I’ll hang on until it works for me” is. I can relate to Hannah Abbott when she had a melt down during her O.W.L.S, I did two years of college in high school and not because I am a genius but because I saw the incredible value that it would bring and I didn't give up.
Slytherin- Like a Slytherin I am incredibly ambitious, I like to use every situation to work the best for me, - I don’t expect life to be fair, so why should I be? I like being around other people and I see the importance of being social but if I don’t get breathing space and time spent alone I lose a sense of who I am and I can’t stand it.
Explain why you feel misplaced in your current house: The puff house is awesome and I feel like it is a great secondary house for me, however when I hear the Puff mantra of "loyal, just, fair" I think wait- fair? But what about bending the rules? What about playing a little dirty? What about me and where do I fit with this? I'm simply not sure that Hufflepuff is the most accurate sort.

2. Who is your least favourite character, and why?
no subject
Ravenclaws are more than merely clever or witty but they are also open minded and are probably more likely to be accepting of different viewpoints. Learning is a part of the journey, more important than the goal or end. They enjoy using their minds and thinking just for the pleasure that thinking brings rather than a shiny letter grade. Ravenclaws are passionate and often times obsessive. Ravenclaws can come off as distant or detached because they can be so intent on looking inward and are focused on whatever passion is gripping their hearts at the moment.
Slytherins are best known for their solid ambition. They are not prone to vague daydreaming but rather for concrete plans and goals. They are resourceful and recognize opportunities and if their are no opportunities, they make their own. They see the realistic side of things making them cautious and don't always jump to act. This is both one of their virtues and their vice. As is their tendency to be arrogant and self centered.
My least favorite character is Hagrid. Yes I understand that he's moral support to Harry and he's just misunderstood or whatever but I still don't like him. I would go crazy if he was my teacher, his class would bore me to death for one thing, I mean flobberworms? He is awkwardly emotional, often in crying fits. He is like a big kid, easily and dramatically offended but just as easily distracted, such as the time in HBP when he tried to ignore Harry, Hermione and Ron when they decided not to take his class. I'm sorry that I don't have a better reason other than he just annoys me.

-What one book do you have with you? Why?
-What one CD do you have with you? Why?
-What one person is with you? Why?
You name Narcissa as your favorite character. Which character do you most identify with? How are you similar? How are you different?
no subject
-I would bring a sketchbook, I always carry one in my purse anyway. I would have a lot of free time and I might as well make the best use of it, I would draw and write a lot. And of course I would take a lot of notes for that best seller on survival I'd write when I got back home.
-I would bring a cd that one of my friends mixed for me. It has stuff like Fergialicious X) and Party Like a Rockstar for when I'm feeling crazy and just want to have fun. It has stuff from Death Cab on it for when I'm feeling quiet, The Killers for when I'm happy, The Beatles for when I'm feeling old-school, Viva La Vida by Coldplay and Time is Running out by Muse, a few songs by Keane and Ella Fitzgerald. There is enough variation to the song list on the cd that I could listen to it no matter what mood I was in, or what type of music I wanted to listen to.
-I would bring a survival expert like Ray Mears. I wouldn't bring a friend or someone I love because although it would be nice to have their company I would rather have someone with the skills to get us off of the island. Better to see my family and friends later and live then to have two dead people on an island just for the sake of good company.
Well I named Narcissa as my favorite character for two reasons. One for all of the reasons I gave above in my elaborated answer but also because she is the most like me and I can relate to her. I share a similar flamboyant streak, a taste for the dramatic,I can be a little bit vain, I like my life to be nice and comfy, I am possessive and protective of what I love. Narcissa is focused and determined on her goals, I hope that I share that trait.
However Narcissa holds opinions in life that I can't agree with. As a mixed race kid IRL I've been around people who hold strong racist opinions much like the Malfoys and Narcissa's prejudice against muggle borns is something I don't share with her. I'm fine with acknowledging differences between people because sure we come from different cultures but she takes it much too far.

What is your favorite color?
What is your biggest pet peeve?
If you had the chance to tell the world one thing (one sentence only), what would it be? Why?
no subject
My favorite colors are green and blue. Both colors are cool, happy, refreshing and make me feel quiet.
My biggest pet peeve is bad manners. In school I had friends who would rest their feet on the table, chew gum loudly with their mouths open and texted under the table. It somewhat rude and distracting. I know this makes me sound anal but I just like when people act appropriately and respectfully to the situation, we have manners for a reason.
"Be the change you want to see in the world."
I know that Ghandi already said it, but it is worth repeating. The only one I'm responsible for is me.
no subject
What is one trait from each house that you feel does not apply to you?
no subject
Ravenclaw- I would consider myself to be smart, capable of creative thinking and for retaining information however I don't love learning just to learn but rather I apply my brain to what I think is useful and what I think will be helpful later on. I am not the most patient when it comes to the philosophies of the wise or with riddles and puzzles that do nothing except make my brain hurt For example I'd be sleeping outside of the common room in some old sleeping bag a lot because I couldn't get the damn door knocker to let me in. Not that I think getting into the common room isn't helpful, I just wouldn't have the patience.
Hufflepuff- Unlike a puff I tend to push the "big picture" aside if it's in my way. Not saying that I'm purposefully mean and I 'm a bully, however I do look out for myself and for what's best for me.
Slytherin- Looking at the Slytherin Quidditch team they seem to go for brawn over skill hoping to bully a way to the top. I can see why someone would cut a few corners and skip a few steps to save themselves sweat and a little time however I am not afraid to take a little more time and work harder if that means I'll get a shiny set of new skills instead of just the trophy.
no subject
What is the one single thing you are most passionate about in your life?
no subject
My biggest passion is to better myself. Not just to get rich or get what I want ,but to make my life the best I can be. Like I said before I can only be responsible for myself, I am the only one who can judge me, and I want to be the best person I can be. I want to be proud of my life and of what I have done.

You get hit in the face, (yeah I know) and you get a black eye. Do you go to class:
1) With make up over it to cover it up?
2) With it as it is to look like you're totally cool?
3) With more dark make up on it to get attention/pity?
Do you prefer the city, the suburbs, or the country?
What kind of movies do you like watching? And HATE watching?
(Assume there is a "why" after each question, please!)
no subject
I would choose #2. I wouldn't put more makeup on it but I would have some completely awesome story to go with it complete with an re-enactment. ;)
I prefer to live in the suburbs, that way I am close enough to the city so I can visit when I want without having to live in a tiny overpriced apartment. Also I can visit the country just as easily when I need a breath of fresh air.
I love pretty much every type of movie except for maybe westerns. My favorites tend to be quirky like Empire Records, Little Miss Sunshine, Harold and Maude and Breakfast Club. Or Disney and Pixar movies or musicals. Basically I love watching anything that makes me laugh or cry or makes me feel good. I like the occasional horror film when it is cold outside and I'm with friends. I even like lulzing at stupid things and boyish humor like Superbad or Tommy Boy.
But I hate watching anything that I get to the end and think, "I will never get those hours back" like I did after I watched Napoleon Dynamite.
no subject
OMGOSH!!!! i totally got that feeling after watching Napoleon Dynamite too!!! I texted my friend during the movie and told him i felt like I'd lost 50 IQ points!
okay back to reading your answers to questions lol :)

And to be fair tell us about a time you felt like you had to bend the rules just to get what you wanted.
Who would your best friends be in each house and why would you be friends with them?
What would your dream job be and why did you choose it?
no subject
I'm not going to spill anything big here so the worst dirt anyone could find on me would probably be me jumping over a few fences to go skinny dipping and sneaking a few beers. I've been a little reckless but I do have my boundaries and limits.
My best friends in each house would be hard to say however for Gryffindor it is embarrassing to say but it would probably be Lavender Brown. I'm not stupid or ditzy but I do like to have fun and we'd probably have some pretty great late night girl talks about boys and all the latest gossip.
For Ravenclaw I would most likely be friends with Cho. Even though she cries a lot and gets a lot of hate from the fandom, she has quite a few good qualities. She is smart, athletic and loyal to her friends, even to Marietta. She has a lot of spirit and seems like someone who would be fun to be around...that is when she isn't "grieving" for Cedric.
For Hufflepuff I'd probably be friends with Ernie Macmillan. Sure he's described as pompous but his intentions are always good and he disregards what people think of him. Not to mention he'd be a good buddy to study with as he was one of the few that passed Snape's potions class with a "E" or possibly an "O" as he showed up to class with all of the needed materials.
For Slytherin it would probably be Pansy. As the leader of the "gang of Slytherin girls" in OOTP, she is nasty to anyone she doesn't like. She seems like a bad person to make enemies with so why not make friends instead? Not to mention that I am sure that a soft spot lies beneath her pug faced exterior as she cooed at the unicorn foals in a COMC class, who knows for all we see of her, she could be a fun -if slightly volatile- person to hang out with.
My dream job...hmmm. Anything that lets me draw and get paid for it? :) I could see myself working as an animator for
disney or pixara big company or as a successful illustrator. I've already mentioned that I love art and as the Joker in the Dark Night put it so well, "If you're good at something, never do it for free."no subject

Albus Dumbledore- Gryffindor. Although he is certainly clever enough to be a Ravenclaw he is driven by his heart and his sense of justice and to me that is very much a Gryffindor trait.
Looking at his downfall with Grindewald, he believed that power could be used for the "greater good", a misguided but philanthropic idea. I see the young Dumbledore being somewhat impulsive, very brave but most of all wanting to do the right thing. All in all that adds up to a Gryffindor.
Severus Snape- Slytherin. The guy is a triple-crossing spy, death eater turned member in the Order of the Pheonix Espionage Unit all the while having the watchful eyes of Voldemort and fangirls alike not really being sure where his true loyalties lie.
Snape keeps his desires close to his heart and any area in his life that could be vulnerable even closer. He is rather Slytherin in the way that his motives can be hard to tell and he holds grudges like none other. Or the way that he is quite pleasant to those in his circle but to all the rest, they can go to hell with a side of, "In fact if you could just take a few points out of the Gryffindor hourglass on your way out that'd be peachy. Thanks."
Barty Crouch Jr.- Slytherin. Talk about using "any means". Barty Jr. is sick and twisted but also very talented.
He managed to imprison a powerful auror and imitate him and even be a well liked teacher. Not bad for a psychopath. He had high ambitions, and his tactics may have not be "subtle" but they did a good job of concealing his true nature and did go by unnoticed for almost a full term. Although he isn't the most flattering image of the Slytherin house he is ambitious, very cunning, and he is adept at choosing what side of him to show.

You also say you are "desperately afraid of being old." Is there a character that you identify with in this sentiment?
Which house do you think "realistic optimism" belongs in and why?
Which house do you think you'd like your hypothetical "best friend" to be in?
no subject
My phobia of getting old is mainly in the physical aspects and I can't think of anyone in the series that shares my fear. The closest I can think of is Voldemort who is more afraid of death than just the physical aging aspect.
But I can still relate to Voldemort's immortality complex a little bit, death isn't a fun thing to think about, I don't like thinking about how life will just move right along after I'm gone or how everything I've worked for in my life will be gone right along with me.
I think that Voldemort feared a few of these things as well, as he so desperately wanted to escape death that he chose to live a horrible fragment of a life. However he saw death as the ultimate flaw in mankind and in the attempt to preserve himself he destroyed himself; whereas I just look at death and getting old as something I don't want to be a part of but I know it's coming anyway so I try make the most of the life I do get. I actually feel sorry for Voldemort, he really just needed some perspective. But try telling that to a pyschopath.
Like pretension I think "realistic optimism" can be found in any house however it is probably more of a Slytherin thing as they take any situation to their advantage.
I try to see everything in their true nature and put a better spin on it to make it work for me. Downplaying the bad while still being realistic. Everything including situations or people is an opportunity waiting to be taken or to be improved. The realistic part comes in as I realize that "shit happens" and the optimistic part comes in with, "yeah but how can I make that crap work for me?" Sorry that I'm being vague but I don't know how else to explain it. :/
My hypothetical best friend would probably be in whatever house I was in. Self confidence isn't exclusive to one house. And I tend to stick to my smaller groups and most likely I would get to know the people in my own house the best. Plus the whole house pride thing could get awkward as I am rather competitive.

I like to live my life with purpose, I think about the future as well as the moment. I don't like to dwell in the past, instead I use my mistakes to move me forward.
It sounds like you're refering to the fact that you're 'purposeful' instead of focused on any particular purpose, but I was just wondering.... What is/are the purpose(s) that motivate you most? Do you feel like you have anything you need to accomplish in life? Do some of your ideals only motivate you in certain situations?
(You don't have to answer each of those questions; I was just giving you stuff to chew on. ;D Also, if my questions were too vague, just thwap me and tell me how I can better explain it, heh.)
no subject
The last thing on my list was "be happy". I've got the "pursuit of happiness" part of the Declaration of Independence on the brain. I'm "purposeful" with my life because I'm not going to get any younger and I have some pretty big mountains to climb so I don't want to waste a minute. I don't think that I'll ever run out of goals that I want to accomplish, I'll just go bigger and better until I die.
Sorry if I didn't really answer your questions...but I tried :/ Feel free to ask more if I was too vague.

1. What house(s) do you feel you do belong in?
2. Please give 2 examples of why your personality fits well with each of those houses.
3. Please give at least 1 reason why you think you might clash with the people in each of those houses.
And the most important question of all:
4. If your appeal is denied and you are to stay in Hufflepuff, would you still participate in HiH?
no subject
2. Ravenclaw- I am a curious person, I hate being out of the loop, I need to know what's going on. Also I like to fancy myself as being smart. When I care about a subject I do well, I have a good memory and like to analyze things.
2b. Slytherin- I'm pretty good at recognizing an opportunity when it comes my way and making my own when it doesn't. I like to think of myself as flexible or adaptable, I'll survive and eventually thrive in most situations.
3. I'm a practical and goal oriented type of person. I like things to be quick and efficient, I am smart but I like to apply my smarts to something useful and relevant instead of just to have it.
3b. I'm hardworking. Not to say that Slytherins are lazy, I like things to be quick but I don't like to cut corners. I'll take a longer, harder road if that'll get me farther in the end.
4. Oh probably. I'm not one for wank and I like this community a lot. I'd stay active in the clubs more so than the common room and I'd probably not make it onto the favorite puff of the year list or anything X).
Appeals.
The judges have come to a decision to deny your appeal: 6 votes for Hufflepuff, 2 votes for Gryffindor and 1 vote for Slytherin.
This is my first time being the appeals mod, so I'm tweaking things around a bit: Would you like to see the reasoning of the judges? (If it's possible, I've got to ask them first, ahhh.) I'd put the appeals process public for a week, so you've got time to read through the reasons as why we think Hufflepuff is the snugly fit for you.
Thanks for appealing,
Mia
Re: Appeals.
Re: Appeals.
I'm waiting for the feedback of the other judges, we're primer inter paris after all ;), and I'll get back to you asap, promise! I'd say in roughly 3 days.
Mia
Re: Appeals.
(You see, the judges' votes are very honest. The main point is to resort your application based on canon. We argue our points. Walking on eggshells is not supported in appeals, so that generates conflict with an appealer because it is, after all, our impression of their personality we are basing our decisions on. What we're trying to find is a solution that does not generate snark or butt hurt. Unlocking the comment section for a while for the appealer to read is okay, but in some cases they might, for example, have a grudge on a judge afterwards.)
It's going to take a while longer, just don't think I've forgotten you. ;)
Um, would you mind giving me feedback on the whole appeals process? Were there any questions that were left open about the whole process. Do you wish some points would have been stressed more? Anything else I probably missed? Don't be shy to be frank. (:
no subject
Or if you guys still really don't want to unlock the votes maybe the judges could just type out a quick one or two sentence reason why I'm a hufflepuff, because I'm not feeling it still and maybe just a little reasoning would help :/ I don't know.
I don't have any complaints for the appeals process in general, except maybe a few more questions, but other than that thanks for the time guys! :)
Appeals reasoning.
You were resorted Hufflepuff:
You have the traits a Hufflepuff has: loyalty, fair-play, hard-working, stubbornness and determination. Hufflepuffs are loyal to their own, they are free to choose who to be loyal to, and once they have chosen their loyalty is unwavering. Hard-working manifests itself also in determination and being very ambitious. Stubbornness makes way for determination and courage. You are very fair-play, as well.
To take Zach, Cedric and Ernie as examples: they are Hufflepuffs who are very ambitious, intellectual, determined and goal-oriented. Zach was even elitist, ambitious and loyal to his own but he didn't end up in Slytherin because his outlook on life, his thought-process and his reasoning was inherently Hufflepuff.
It is a misguided view that intelligent people end up in Ravenclaw, ambitious people end up in Slytherin, bold people end up in Gryffindor and soft, caring people end up in Hufflepuff. Tonks was very assertive and capable, Cedric was very clever, bold and ambitious, Hermione was very intelligent, to name a few!
A few judges pointed out that Narcissa is very much a Slytherpuff and they felt that you liked the more Hufflepuff traits of her: caring (to a few), intelligent, doting and happy in her family.
Another reason why we voted you in Hufflepuff was your answer to If your appeal is denied and you are to stay in Hufflepuff, would you still participate in HiH?. Your answer was very Hufflepuff in a sense that you are very level-headed, very mature, very straight-forward and very reasonable. This is Hufflepuff at its best.
A few other Hufflepuff things you said that judges have pointed out:
"Be the change you want to see in the world."
"is so Hufflepuff it's almost stereotypical. Gross stereotypes here: Gryffindor is more like "RARR! I will CHANGE the world, 'cause I am right and I need to do something against the wrong!" and Slytherin is more like "I'll bend the world so I get more benefit." and Ravenclaw is more like "But the world is changing! Let's examine it!""
"I am brave in other ways but I don't need to prove it to you."
"This stems from being genuine. In the books, Hufflepuffs have a penchant for the action and don't talk much (except Ernie, but he does what he says so that counts). When difficult situations come they shine because they do what they can. And they know what they can do."
I've been a little reckless but I do have my boundaries and limits.
As said above, this is very mature, very reasonable.
"Unlike a puff I tend to push the "big picture" aside if it's in my way. I do look out for myself and for what's best for me."
"That's not unlike Puff. That is common sense. Not all Puffs are the nurse-y, Jesus-y types. Cedric wasn't socially inclined, Tonks neither and neither was Zach. Cedric and Tonks were in for action, and Zach did what he thought was best for him. "
There were also a couple of Gryffindor votes:
"I'm "purposeful" with my life because I'm not going to get any younger and I have some pretty big mountains to climb so I don't want to waste a minute."
"That's the sort of carpe diem, adventurous spirit I'd expect from a Gryffindor, whereas I think a Slytherin would have a cooler, more specific 'desire to prove oneself' and a pretty specific reason for this desire."
"If you don’t like your life change it, and crying about it to me and throwing yourself a big pity party isn’t the way to do it."
"I'm not sure you can get much more Gryffindor than that. This is the sort of person who knows how to take care of herself and expects others to do the same. That statement reminds me so much of McGonagall's strong, no-nonsense attitude, heh."
There was a Slytherin vote as well, due to you being ambitious, goal-oriented and intellectual.
In the end, the Hufflepuff votes were overwhelming.
