How do you believe you respond in a crisis? I shut myself off, I get even more solitary than I already am, and I try to work it out all on my own. Usually I'm also pretending everything is fine and I got it all under control. Because admitting I don't have it under control would make it so. As long as people don't realize I'm helpless and don't know what to do I can continue to look for a way out without admitting defeat. Not really sure how/where exactly this differs from Kelly's question about handling adversity, that might be a language thing. They both translate to pretty similar concepts in German, so let me know if you want me to answer this differently.
