There are two outcomes to my putting my name in the Goblet of Fire: either my name gets pulled from it and I get to compete in a life changing, totally amazing, once in a lifetime competition or it doesn’t and nothing changes. I can’t lose. It’s impossible. Sure, I could (theoretically) lose my life by competing, but I would never know unless I tried, and trying never hurt anyone. So, I’d do it and I’d always have the ‘hey, that could’ve been me’ story rather than ‘well, I never tried’ one.
