Peter Pettigrew, the miserable swine. It's important to realize that my friends are some of the most important people in my life, and I can honestly say that I wouldn't give them up for anything. When Sirius Black yelled, "YOU SHOULD HAVE DIED, DIED RATHER THAN BETRAYING YOUR FRIENDS, AS I WOULD HAVE DONE FOR YOU," I got the chills largely because I feel the same way, and to see that sentiment conveyed so effectively in print was unnerving. That Peter could throw it all away, turn traitor and betray his friends, that's simply beyond me. To this day, my knee jerk reaction to Pettigrew is revulsion, more so than for any other character.
