Resorted: Ravenclaw, part 1

The appeals process was a difficult one, and the reasoning of the judges varied greatly. You were a mixture between Slytherin and Hufflepuff who wanted in in Ravenclaw. First there were 5 votes for Gryffindor, 5 potential votes for Ravenclaw (two were undecided), and then there was tie between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff.

A thing that was mentioned often was that HiH is relatively laid back. It is hard to imagine (for non-Slytherin judges and Slytherin judges alike) that the Slytherin room is stiffling, and based on how Slytherin members act in HiH it seems like "being goofy" and "silly" is not frowned upon.

Another thing that made your appeals process very difficult was that you based your "canon" and thus your push (as to where you want to end up, pushing is accepted in appeals, so no biggie) on uncanon things. You were very vague.
So I've got a few bones to pick:
Ravenclaw is not the intelligent house. You have to be intelligent to be sorted in Ravenclaw, but not all intelligent people are in Ravenclaw. Ravenclaws are not witty and sarcastic. Cho was not sarcastic, Luna was not sarcastic, Flitwick definitely wasn't sarcastic, Moaning Myrtle wasn't either and the Grey Lady was not sarcastic. Ravenclaws do not learn quickly. They like learning, and are able to learn, they have the mind to learn, but that all Ravenclaws read through a text and memorize asap is uncanon. There is no difference between learning by heart at a drop of a hat or studying 50 hours: the knowledge is the same, it is not the intelligence we crave it is the way to knowledge. It is the learning. Learning is fun, how we learn is irrevelant.
Hufflepuff is not a soft house, they are not selfless. They do not drop everything to hurry to help just anyone. They are a loyal, determined, stubborn bunch that value fair-play and are straight-forward. You said that Hufflepuffs do not make a scene, but yet Ernie is pompous. They don't mind standing out, and they don't mind going against the grain (fair-play, determination, stubbornness).
Slytherins are not (only ;D) bad-ass, evil or ruthless. Or about blood-purity. Voldemort was half/half, Harry (potential Slytherin) was half/half, Snape was half/half. Slytherin is about ambitious, cunningness, resourcefulness and an air of mystery- all the traits you have.
Gryffindors are also not only brave. Neville was not outwardly brave, more of an introvert and not lime-light obsessed. Neither was Seamus or Dean for example. They are outspoken (trait you have), bold (trait you have) and able (trait you have).

I see Ravenclaw too, as I said in one of my previous comments, I feel that I have a lot of common sense. I am very good at seeing things others miss, including moods people have but aren't quite showing, things that are on the sidelines, but some wouldn't notice without a second glance... [Ex. the first Harry Potter book, when Hermione ran to put Snape on fire, and knocked Flitwick over, I didn't really think much of it, but I did definitely notice...] I have allways though Ravenclaw to be a very.. sarcastic house... I know most people would associate that to Slytherin, but... in my head, Sarcasm and cleverness go hand in hand... [Right along side whit]

This is canon Slytherin cunningness you are describing with a side order of Hufflepuff. Hufflepuff in that you are a people person: you understand people and where they are coming from. You pick up moods.
Slytherins and Ravenclaws are both clever and intelligent.
I venture in my own interpretation now, but Slytherin is a tad more clever and Ravenclaw is a tad more intelligent. There is a difference!
Clever = showing originality, quick intelligence. Intelligent = sound thought, good judgement, good understanding, knowledge. Clever is something quick and Intelligence is something solid.

I just feel like Ravenclaw is a more mild Slytherin.. I know they have a ton of differences, but I feel like they are similar enough that I would be able to be my spiteful self AND my goofy self without feeling stupid.
Ravenclaw and Slytherin are two entirely different ball games. Ambitious, cunning, ressourceful, intelligent, clever vs. romantic, creative, wisdom and freedom.
